Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2 July 2026

These terms govern your use of kundavalley.com and your purchase of the tickets we sell in-house — subsidised tickets and volunteer refundable-deposit tickets. By applying, paying, or attending you agree to these terms together with our Privacy Policy. Kunda Valley is a festival held at Diepklowe Nature Reserve, South Africa.

Strictly 21+

Kunda Valley is a strictly 21+ event for everyone on site, including crew and volunteers. When you apply you confirm you will be 21 or older, and you may be asked for photo ID matching your ticket at the gate. Entry may be refused, without a refund, if you cannot prove you are 21+.

What we sell here

This site handles only two ticket types, both run in-house by Kunda Valley:

  • Subsidised ticket — R650. A limited number of discounted full-access tickets, offered by application to make the festival more accessible.
  • Volunteer ticket — R950 refundable deposit. For approved volunteers; the deposit is refundable after the festival once shifts are completed (see below).

General-admission and other tickets are sold separately through our external ticketing partner and are governed by that partner's terms, not this page.

Applications & approval

Subsidised and volunteer tickets are allocated by application. Submitting an application does not guarantee a ticket. If your application is approved, we send a secure, personal payment link over WhatsApp (with email and copy-paste fallbacks). Payment is only due once you are approved, and a ticket is issued only after successful payment.

Payment

Payments are processed securely by Paystack in South African Rand (ZAR). Kunda Valley never sees or stores your full card details. A ticket's validity lives in our records, not in the PDF or QR image — it is scanned once at the gate and cannot be reused.

Subsidised ticket — refunds & cancellation

Subsidised tickets are non-transferable — they cannot be resold or passed to anyone else. If you need to cancel a paid subsidised ticket, email us at kundavalley@gmail.com. Cancellations on or before 18 October 2026 are refunded in full, less any payment-processing fees; after that date the R650 ticket is non-refundable. Refunds are made to the same card used for the original payment.

Volunteer deposit — refunds

The R950 volunteer deposit is fully refundable after the festival once you've completed the volunteer shifts you agreed to. Refunds are made to the same card you paid with and are processed by 31 December 2026. If you do not complete your agreed shifts, the deposit is non-refundable. Refunds are reconciled by organisers after the event based on attendance and shift completion.

Entry & conduct

Admission is at the discretion of the organisers. We may refuse entry to, or remove without a refund, anyone who is under 21, cannot present valid matching ID, behaves unsafely, or breaches festival rules. Please follow the leave-no-trace and safety guidance shared before and at the event.

Member accounts

When your ticket is approved we create a lightweight, passwordless member account so you can return any time to view, resend or re-download your ticket. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the latest version will always live on this page. If the festival is postponed, rescheduled or cancelled for reasons beyond our control, we will communicate options to affected ticket-holders by WhatsApp and email.
